Heaven-Sent Computer Services charges an hourly rate of
$40
per hour,
with a 1-hour minimum charge per incident. We will come to your home or
office to diagnose and repair your desktop or laptop PC. We’ll get your
Internet working, install your printer, keep you safe on the Internet,
and provide training on software and gadgets you want to learn more
about, among other things.
Below is a list of common services and an approximate number of hours you can expect each to take. Some charges can be minimized if you let us bring your computer to our office for repair. Please contact us with any questions about the services listed here. Note: Heaven-Sent Computer Services accepts cash, checks, and money orders. |

Your computer, like your car, is a finely
tuned machine that needs regular maintenance to keep it running and in
good working order. Our monthly or quarterly optimization service will shorten
your computer’s boot time, delete unwanted files and remove unnecessary
background processes. We will bring your system up to speed with the
most recent updates to guard against security threats, ensure that your
virus software is up-to-date, remove any unwanted spyware from your computer, defrag your hard drive,
and clean up any registry problems you might have. Many of these services will
fix computer problems you don’t even know you have before they begin to
frustrate you. Your computer will receive a clean bill of health with each
visit.

Let’s face it — sometimes you just need to
talk through your computer questions and issues with a real human who
can translate techno-babble into real English. And sometimes it’s nice
to know that, if you needed them, that person lives close enough that
they could come over and sit down next to you, fix what’s
wrong, and/or point you in the right direction. Maybe you like to fix it
on your own, but need a little bit of guidance or reassurance that you’re
on the right track. Whatever your needs, we can be your personal tech
gurus.
For a monthly fee of just $80, paid in advance on a month-to-month basis, you get 2 pre-paid hours of a consultant’s time. With that 2 hours, you can call with your periodic technology-related questions, have regular maintenance performed, or take advantage of any of the services provided by Heaven-Sent Computer Services. We’ll keep track of the actual time you’ve used during the month (avoiding the standard $40 minimum charge per call) and bill you at our standard hourly rate only if you happened to exceed that 2 hours. We call this our “peace of mind” special. You'll just call it “Heaven-Sent.” |

If your computer isn’t working quite the way
it should, we will discover the cause of crashes, lockups, unusual
slowness, or Internet problems (it’s probably not you!), then fix the
problem for you. Includes software repair, virus and spyware removal and
physical cleaning. Anti-virus and anti-spyware software is included. |

Installing a new operating system can take a
lot of time and cause many headaches, especially if things don’t go
smoothly. We can help you by recommending and then installing the
version of Microsoft® Windows that best suits your computer and your
needs, as well as all device drivers and critical updates. Software is not included. |
| Install software applications | 1-3 hours |
We will install your new software package
(Microsoft® Office, Norton Internet Security, Adobe Photoshop, TurboTax,
etc.) and all critical updates. We’ll also test the software for proper
functionality. Software is not included. |
| Install new hardware | 1-2 hours |
Let us install your new internal or external
hardware device onto your desktop or laptop PC and make sure the device
driver is properly installed. Hardware devices includes CD/DVD drive,
memory, video card, power supply, etc. Hardware not included. |
| Troubleshoot application problems | 1-2 hours | If you’re trying to do something in a software application you already own, and it’s just not cooperating, let us help point you in the right direction. This includes things like mail merge, printing multi-page booklets in signature format, adding special behavior to content on a Microsoft PowerPoint slide, etc. Or maybe you get an error message every time you try and do something in an application. For a minimum of a 1-hour charge, we can get you up and running again. |
| Restore CD creation | 1-2 hours | Did you know most new PCs come with the restore copy of your new system on the hard drive? Take the fuss out of creating a restore disk. Let us take the trouble out of the process and create a restore CD for you. |

Basic computer skills, software applications, mail merge, scanning, photo restoration, printing booklets in signature format, animating PowerPoint slides, Microsoft Windows Vista, etc. - if you can dream it, we can help you understand it better. |

Maximize your computer’s performance with
more than 100 enhancements that personalize it to your needs and remove
all unnecessary clutter. This also includes installation of security and
privacy software to block viruses and spyware, if needed. We can also
create a restore CD of your computer information and suggest and/or
install parental control software. Free anti-virus and spyware software is included. Parental control software is not included. |
